Marvel Villain Muse Makes Chilling Debut In Daredevil
by Anusree in News, Entertainment on March 26, 2025Marvel fanatics were shocked when the Muse character made his dark and terrible debut in the latest episodes of Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+. On March 25th, the series rolled out Muse who posed as a dangerous figure and was nothing like a character that ‘Daredevil’ has ever come across.
It seems like Muse will be the most intriguing character in the whole MCU. His arrival in the show has shifted the mood and could bring about some big changes in the future of the series itself.
So who is this Muse now? And what is it about him that he is causing terror in both fans and characters?
Muse Debuts in Daredevil Born Again
Episodes 5 and 6 of Daredevil: Born Again introduces Muse who is a serial killer with an art obsession. This is not just a villainous man. Muse makes shocking “art works” by using the blood and bodies of his victims. His deeds include the kind that is gruesome, significant, and are very unnerving.
The Muse character is shown in the series not only as a menace to Matt Murdock (Daredevil) but also to the whole city. His deeds produce very scary sight that paralyze the law enforcement, media, and the public. The rise of Muse is the reason for new controversies that emerge between the series’ characters questioning vigilantes’ role and the cost of justice.
Muse in Marvel Comics
Muse is not a new character. He first appeared in Marvel Comics in 2016, during the Daredevil run by writer Charles Soule. In the comics, Muse is an artist who is so demented that he looks at murder as performance. He is mainly known for painting with blood, usually targeting authority figures and the public buildings.
Muse is the kind of Daredevil villain that is hard to understand and predict, he is very much unpredictable. His lust for power and control is merely non-existent. On the contrary, recognition is all he is after. He wants the entire world to experience his “art” and react positively to it. His conduct is characterized by the three elements of theaters—drama, violence, and most importantly—deep psychological thought.
The main reason why Muse is still an enigma is that his true identity is yet to be revealed in the comics. He is a one-man army and often escapes through the backdoor the moment anybody notices him.
How Muse Changes Daredevil’s World
Muse in Daredevil: Born Again, doesn’t just kill on his own. His murders affect the lives of many characters such as Wilson Fisk (Kingpin) and the police department by sending shockwaves through them. People become more and more uncivilized, so much so that even Daredevil has a hard time understanding who Muse really is.
The showrunners have informed the viewers that Muse is going to be returning. The word is, he is going to be involved in more than one season. His deeds might even result in unusual partnerships among Daredevil and ink-breakers as shown by Fisk.
No more a plain mainstream problem but art, and morality, and madness form the backdrop of the story—all which Muse contributes to with his terrible deeds.
Why Fans Are Obsessed
Since his first appearance, Marvel fans online never stopped discussing Muse. Some consider him to be “Marvel’s most disturbing villain up to now”. Others see Emily as a new take on a traditional element.
The web is awash with speculations about his true identity. Is he a character from Daredevil’s past or is he linked to some other MCU characters? Can he be a bigger threat in upcoming Marvel shows?
Another thing that makes Muse more appealing to us, is the fact that we are still quite ignorant about him. He puts on a mask, becomes anonymous, and then vanishes without a trace. The only thing he’s not shy to disclose are his messages but the thing is that they are nothing but bloody ‘masterpieces’.
Muse’s arrival on Daredevil: Born Again is a daring decision on the part of Marvel. This not only takes the show to darker places, but it also tests Daredevil in new ways. While the previous villains like Kingpin were all about power and control, Muse symbolizes chaos, fear, and symbolism.
This new brutal strong person isn’t only here to fight, he’s here to disrupt and the fans can’t stop watching.
As the episodes come on air, everyone will pay all attention to how Daredevil stands firm against Muse while on other hand fans agree that Marvel has just introduced one of its most horrific characters yet.
