The British music formation, which is associated with the major label RCA Records, is the latest artist to join the roster of the company where they boast an impressive lineup of successful acts. With this move, the band might eventually become more mainstream.
A New Chapter with RCA Records
The joint announcement of the signing of the contract of Sleep Token and RCA Records took place last February. This coalition represents a big leap for the troupe. The label is not only famous for cultivating the world’s most highly-qualified musicians but also are clamoring for a release from the band.
They mix with warm melodies, very gentle percussions, explosive metallic riffs, ambient layers, and impressive lyrical relativity. They were called pioneers and gathered a loyal following of listeners due to their one-of-a-kind sound and their deliberate anonymity. This change, however, will mean that the fanbase will grow even larger because of RCA’s support.
‘Take Me Back to Eden’ Wins Big
The band’s third studio project, ‘Take Me Back to Eden’ was launched in May 2023. It quickly became a big hit. The album not only successful topped streaming charts, but it also was the most-sought metal album of the entire year on Spotify.
It was also received well by critics and was given the Best Album award during the Heavy Music Awards in August 2024. In addition to that, their album managed to grab the Best Hard Rock Album award at the Billboard Music Awards in December 2024.
Sleep Token to Headline Download Festival 2025
Good news for Sleep Token enthusiasts: the band will be the Download Festival 2025 headliner. The UK’s largest rock and metal festival will present them together with Green Day and Korn.
They, one way or another, got the big chance of being a part of this huge show. In Donington Park, UK, the guys will be the main attraction for thousands of people. Their concerts are famous for bringing something new and their strong performances.
What’s Next for Sleep Token?
The group has yet to let us in on an upcoming album. Not only that but with their new contract, their fans are ready for new music to come out. Certainly, the Download Festival event will be the best place for the new pieces to be performed live.
While Sleep Token climbs, the influence they hold in the rock and metal industry keeps growing. Together with the label, the band’s hit album, the big festival, 2025 is going to be their most successful year so far.
