Country music superstar Blake Shelton just announced that he is undergoing a major change in his life. For many years now, he has been touring, appearing on television, and scoring top hits, but he is now stepping down—to a certain extent. Most recently, Shelton revealed that he’s making “big, big changes,” and his fans are super excited to find out what’s going on.
Stay Away From Limelight
Shelton just made it public to People that he had to take a huge step of “stopping everything” feeling like he was “running on the same spot” for years. Since leaving The Voice in 2023, Shelton is focusing more on family, and his projects are more aligned with his priorities and values.
“I wanted to have some time for me, that’s why I took a break. All the time I was really mobile. Suddenly, I just realized that I needed some space,” Shelton honestly spoke in one of his interviews.
Shelton and his spouse, music diva Gwen Stefani, have been in high spirits as they planned trips to the places of their dream as well as Oklahoma countryside. And when they took a peace of mind trip to the secluded resort in the Ozarks, that’s probably when they got their breather from the people they are used to seeing on their day-to-day lives.
Leisure in the Ozarks
In early April, Blake and Gwen were at a southern-style upscale resort, where they took the vacation break in the Ozarks. According to their vacation pictures, the couple doesn’t seem to be in any rush as they sat under shady trees, fished, and did other fun outdoor activities.
They even coined the vacation as something they will never forget and a place that had all they ever wanted was the epitome of quietness which enabled them to share some quality time, away from the eyes of the world. Stefani captioned a photo of the resort on Instagram that the place was all they needed to escape the spotlight for a while.
The couple’s stay at the resort has, as a result, become a sensation that fans are now interested in the quiet location that became the home of two of the music industry’s biggest stars.
What is Going to Happen with Blake Shelton?
Shelton gave a hint he’s been creating new music. It’s been aged differently this time. He unveiled that he was not looking to score commercial hits. He was interested in writing music that would depict his current self, both personally and at work.
“I still love music. But now I want to make it on my own terms,” he said. “I’m not chasing the next number one anymore.”
Word has it that Shelton will be devoting more time to his Oklahoma ranch, where he will not only engage in land management and conservation but also involve himself in local projects that are close to his heart.
Leaving The Voice After 23 Seasons
Shelton’s quitting of The Voice was the closing of a big chapter of his biography. 23 seasons of being a coach on NBC’s show and having given support and advice to a lot of rising artists have been visible in his career.
Even when he wished goodbye to the show in 2023, he did not lose connection with various of his preceding contestants and coaches such as, for instance, Carson Daly and Kelly Clarkson. He gladly keeps on being the coach of young country artists privately and does not rule out returning to the show for some special occasions.
Still In The Game — Just On His Terms
It is true that Shelton may not be a spotlight seeker now, nevertheless, he is still deeply engaged in the country music and TV businesses. Those who know him well claim that he is considering picking up a documentary or a docuseries that will chronicle his day-to-day life in his Oklahoma home, and his journey after the faded fame of the mainstream.
He used to be a big shot in Nashville and Hollywood, but the world has not quite lost him yet. As he has claimed himself, his career is less nervous and more approachable. He is still very much in touch with life through his music.
Blake Shelton having taken the love of success away from fame means that he is not out. On the contrary, he is remaking what his personal success will be like. With fresh music, latest priorities, and plenty of off-the-stage time, Shelton is demonstrating to the public that in the music industry, one can still have control even at a slower pace.
