In the Season 14 reunion episode which aired on Monday, sisters Kyle Richards, and Kathy Hilton have finally spilled the beans about Kim. It turns out that Kim is currently in Florida and she is doing well there according to the report of her relatives. This message comes after the publication of the news about her struggle with sobriety in late 2024.

In September of 2024, it was said by some sources that Kim had started drinking alcohol again. Nothing could be said to the contrary while many multiple reports stated that she was detained under the 5150 psychiatric hold after being discovered in a state of confusion in the Hilton hotel in Los Angeles. A 5150 hold allows a person to be detained by health professionals for up to 72 hours if these people are unsafe to themselves or others.
Kim was taken by Kyle to live in her home to assist her in. This change was confirmed by family members at the time who reported that Kim was feeling so tired she only needed time and privacy to concentrate on her mental health and recovery.
