Not everyone will see that August 1 deposit. So how do you know if you qualify?

• You receive SSI — you’re automatically in.
• You started getting Social Security or SSDI before May 1997 — you’re likely to be paid on the 3rd of each month, and this time that payment is moved up to August 1.
• You receive both SSI and Social Security — you get the early deposit too.
