Her death was revealed on April 16, 2025, Tuesday. Mostly, she was recognized as a person who styled the hair of the celebs, a regular of national TV programs, and someone who played a key role in bringing the hair and beauty industry in Mexico up to date.

What is widely known is that Silvia Galván was a Monterrey, Nuevo León native. Her career in the 1980s, and in 1985, she set up her business, Silvia Galván Image Studio, was the beginning of this new journey. The fact that she was the first one to master new methods along with her marvelous sense of transformation helped her to become the most sought-after stylist in the country in no time.
One way to describe Galván is the most sought after celebrity stylist; she was more of an image creator. Through her expertise, she largely affected the appearance of Mexico’s leading personalities. Among these names, Lucero, Verónica Castro, Belinda, Victoria Ruffo, and Itatí Cantoral were some of the people with whom she collaborated over time. As related in a few different places, Galván found herself in the hospital early last March 2025 because of a very severe stomachache. Emergency surgery was performed immediately and the poor woman’s stomach cancer was discovered to be at a very advanced stage.
But even with all the effort and care, the woman’s condition took a sudden turn for the worse. Less than half dozen weeks after her operation, precisely on April 16, Silvia Galván died peacefully.
The National Association of Performers (ANDI) spread the sad news through their social media accounts. At the same time, a declaration was released by her family on her official Instagram account. They mentioned that they are overwhelmed with grief and they also thanked their friends and customers for the emotional and financial support throughout these years.
